The growing
demand for Junior Achievement programs cannot be met without the
success of Junior Achievement’s annual campaigns and special
events. Proceeds from these events allow JA to continue to
provide quality programs to area schools and their students. In
addition to participation in these events, there are also a
number of sponsorship opportunities available to companies and
individuals that provide exposure for your firm.

Individual Giving Campaign |
|
With the
help of volunteers, Junior Achievement calls local businesses
to share the Junior Achievement mission and gain financial
support. This campaign is year-round, and can be easily
customized to individual companies’ needs. Companies may choose
to use their own business contacts rather than JA’s, and may
choose either on-site or off-site calling locations. Calling
sessions typically last a half-day each. |

| Join us for the 2006 JA Bowl-A-Thon (Luau at the Lanes) |
The Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon (BAT) is held annually
to assist in generating funds and to help meet the increasing demands for JA’s in-school economic education programs.
The net $32,976 raised through last years’ event provided funding for 26% of JA programs. Nationally, JA Bowl-A-Thon
events raise $15 million with nearly 200,000 participants. Clearly, the BAT plays a critical role in JA’s ongoing
fundraising efforts. Bowlers earn prizes for simply collecting pledges. The more money you raise, the more prizes
you win. In the past, grand prizes have included all expense paid trips to the Bahamas, mountain bikes, IBM laptops,
and other fine gifts. |
